How can I prepare my skin for my wedding day?
Your skin will determine how your makeup will go on and also look on your wedding day. There are a number of things that you can do to help your skin to look its absolute best on your big day. Firstly invest in a good skincare regimen, Danella can recommend one that best suits your skin type and budget. A basic regimen consists of cleanse, tone, moisturize and protect. Exfoliation is also a very important step that needs to be done weekly leading up to your wedding. Buffing away those dead skin cells will help with the longevity of your foundation and give your skin that healthy radiant glow. Most importantly drink plenty of water!
What makeup brands do you use?
I Do Makeup Artistry use top quality products from well-known brands such as MAC, Elementwo, Jane Iredale, Napoleon, Urban Decay and Lime Crime.
Will my makeup last?
Yes, definitely! Danella has carefully selected the products she uses, not only do they look and feel great, they last throughout your wedding day! Primers are used to help your foundation adhere and stay on the skin longer. The foundation is created for long-lasting wear, it is water resistant and it gives a flawless coverage. Lastly, waterproof mascara and water-resistant eyeliner makes sure those tears don’t leave you with panda eyes! However, a few lip touch ups will be needed throughout the day and if you have oily skin you may need to blot off some excess oil.
Do I need to wax my eyebrows?
Absolutely! Tidy, defined eyebrows make a huge difference to the overall appearance of your face/makeup application. They frame your eye and give you a mini ‘eyelift’ by opening your whole eye area! I suggest having your eyebrows waxed or threaded by an experienced professional.
How long does it take for each makeup application?
Each makeup application takes about 30-40mins.
Do I need to buy my own lipstick?
No, there is a wide range of lipsticks and glosses that you can purchase on your wedding day or at your trial, if you wish!
Where do you travel to?
The entire Sunshine Coast. Noosa to Caloundra. The Hinterland. Enquiries welcome!
Gently exfoliate lips with a soft toothbrush - after brushing your teeth in the shower rinse your brush and gently brush over the lips to remove any loose dry skin. Apply lip balm as often as needed.
Consider having your eyelashes tinted before your wedding day (Especially if you have fair lashes). One less thing to worry about on your honeymoon and less mascara needed on your wedding day!
Make sure you wear a buttoned top or something easy to get over your head so that you don’t mess up your makeup or hair.
